    Individuals with severe hearing-losses who have difficulty processing speech can still find enjoyment in music and music activities.

    Music acts as a motivator. Music therapy is effective in providing creative, expressive, self-esteem building and group-oriented activities in addition to auditory and language training.

    To be the most effective, Music therapists need to be knowledgeable of limitations and difficulties experienced by children with implants and to understand which learning modes are most effective.

      Important for music therapist to combine music activities with visual, tactile and kinesthetic stimuli.

      Important for music therapists to make maximum use of personal creativity when planning activities for children with cochlear implants.
